As a Senior Consultant at MP Smarter Travel, my work focuses on delivering more sustainable urban logistics solutions, in addition to school engagement and air quality work. Through our work, I aim to reshape businesses’ and individuals’ conceptions of what is possible in terms of urban mobility.
Prior to my current role, I worked in PR and marketing for the built environment, delivering integrated communications strategies for international clients. In addition to my experience in this sector, I have worked in digital marketing and public affairs.
I graduated from UCL in 2021 with an MSc in Urban Studies, writing and researching a dissertation on AFC Wimbledon’s return to its Plough Lane site, in addition to modules covering planning theory, creative cities, and (of course) global transport systems. In 2020, I completed a degree in Chinese at Edinburgh University. Outside of work, I enjoy running, swimming, cooking, eating, and quality time walking around the city.

In March 2024, I joined MP Smarter Travel, after serving as a sustainability coordinator for a prominent mechanical and electrical engineering firm in the UK and Ireland, where I focused on implementing sustainable practices on construction sites and calculating embodied carbon metrics for clients.
My passion for active travel was ignited during my studies for a master’s degree in “Urban management and development” at Erasmus University of Rotterdam. There, I immersed myself in the Dutch lifestyle and urban planning ethos, particularly their emphasis on cycling as the primary and most sustainable mode of transportation. My thesis delved into the impact of transport infrastructure on the prosperity of towns in the peri-urban area of Dublin, exploring how mobility can have far reaching effects on small businesses.

As a Consultant at MP Smarter Travel, I work primarily on helping individuals and businesses transition to sustainable logistics. I joined following two years working for a cargo bike logistics company, both delivering and in operations, and have a detailed knowledge of the cargo bike industry and its potential.
My work focusses on cargo bike promotion, through the Bikes for Business and Parcels not Pollution projects amongst others, where together we’ve helped over 200 businesses switch to using cargo bikes – and we’re continuing this work in Brent, Brighton and beyond. I’ve also been very happy to assist with research into working practices in the sector and support the development of the Cargo Revolution campaign. On top of this I’ve conducted air quality monitoring, designed freight surveys and written tender documents for clients’ fund applications.
I am also studying for a BA in Urban and Environmental Planning at London South Bank University, and in my (limited) free time I enjoy playing bike polo, cooking and complaining about poor street design.

I joined MP Smarter Travel in January 2023 as an Assistant Consultant, having recently completed an MSc in International Development, Social Justice, and Sustainability at the University of Bath. There, I specialised in the theory and practice of sustainable mobilities and critically analysed the Department for Transport’s perceptions of cycling futures. Prior to joining MP Smarter Travel, I worked in cycle sales alongside working towards my master’s and have also worked in public affairs.
My role sees me supporting the delivery of a wide variety of projects. To date, I’ve helped businesses switch to cargo bikes through the Bikes for Business and Parcels not Pollution projects, delivered workshops on air quality and road safety to students across London, and developed healthy and safe walking route maps for schools. Additionally, I work on many of our business and public engagement projects, where I’ve built and conducted surveys, quantitatively and qualitatively analysed large datasets, and interpreted the results to inform the creation of travel plans and freight strategies.

I joined MP Smarter Travel in December 2023 as an Assistant Consultant, having recently returned from Spain where I worked as an English Teacher. As a Consultant at MP Smarter Travel, I support the delivery of a variety of projects promoting sustainable travel.
I have completed an MSc in Environmental Governance at The University of Manchester where I specialised on how gender impacts mobility within cities, looking particularly at cycling and walking policy through critically analsying Greater Manchester’s Transport Strategy and Gender Inequality reports. Outside of work you can find me running, cycling or trying new restaurants.

I joined MP Smarter Travel in July of 2023 after completing my BSc (hons) in Environmental Science and Archaeology from the University of Cape Town. Prior to working here, I worked in customer service and for a Cape Town-based NGO working with under-resourced schools.
My role here at MP Smarter Travel sees me supporting the delivery of a wide variety of projects. I am eager to work with businesses, schools and communities to raise awareness and improve air quality and accessibility surrounding transport infrastructure. I am excited to bring an outside and unique view on sustainable transport and work with a passionate team in creating healthy and accessible places to work, live and play. Outside of work, you can find me exploring London’s historic sites or trying a new restaurant.

I started at MP Smarter Travel in January 2024 after completing my MA in Anthropology of Development and Social transformation. Prior to joining, I worked in development consulting and part-time customer service roles in retail stores in both Brighton and London.
In my role, I focus on Business Engagement within our cargo bike promotion programmes. I am excited about the possibility of converting last-mile deliveries in UK cities to cargo bikes.
I believe in capturing all voices in society to ensure that the solutions we implement work for all. I hope one day that the world can become less car-dependant, and we see way more bikes on our streets! Outside of work, you’ll find me hiking and enjoying watching sport.

I joined MP Smarter Travel in March 2024 as an Assistant Consultant, following the completion of my BA degree in Geography in the summer of 2023. Throughout my academic journey, I explored the importance of decarbonisation and investigated how embracing environmentally friendly practices can greatly benefit local communities. In my current role, I focus on identifying sustainable transportation solutions to address air pollution concerns, particularly in school areas and congested areas across London.
A key aspect of my responsibilities involves promoting behavioural changes that contribute positively to the local environment and communities. Beyond work, I enjoy activities such as running, cycling, and painting during my free time.
I joined MP Smarter Travel in April 2024 as an Assistant Consultant, having graduated from the University of Leeds in summer 2023, where I studied Human Geography. As an Assistant Consultant, I support a variety of projects, including cargo bike promotion and air quality awareness and engagement work.
I developed a passion for sustainable transport solutions through my degree. I understand their wide environmental and social benefits for local communities by focusing on urban geography and the intersectionality of the climate crisis. I also witnessed limited public space, accessibility issues and inefficient land use due to car dependency when living in a car-centric Canadian city during my study abroad year!
Outside of work, I enjoy running, walking my dogs, doing Pilates and going to the theatre when I can!

Since returning from Maternity leave in May 2023, Smarter Travels’ need for more consistent support has grown and now I work solely with MP Smarter Travel providing operational support including HR, Finance and IT.

I joined MP Smarter Travel in November 2024 as Head of Communications. I have over 20 years’ experience in communications both agency and client-side.
Working in local government and for the active travel sector have been highlights of my career. I worked for the London Borough of Merton for 10 years. Following a broad communications brief at Merton, which included the built environment, town planning, design and regeneration, I moved to sustainable transport charity, Sustrans (now known as the Walk, Wheel, Cycle Trust). It’s here that I really saw the benefits of active travel for society as a whole and the value of creating a world where everyone has the freedom to get around safely and conveniently without having to be car dependent.
My degree was in German and French and I retain a love of languages. I also enjoy playing the violin as well as running, cycling and discovering new places.
