We are recruiting for an Assistant Consultant

MP Smarter Travel is a sustainable transport consultancy specialising in working with businesses, local communities, and schools to support walking, cycling and other zero emission transport.

We are looking to expand our team by recruiting an Assistant Consultant who will provide support on a range of projects across the public and private sectors.

You will be responsible for delivery on an evolving set of projects that currently includes air quality education programmes, school travel plans, behaviour change, travel planning and community engagement.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in the sustainable transport sector, working across a wide range of projects with a supportive team of professionals, all with a shared passion for working towards more sustainable towns and cities.

About us

MP Smarter Travel’s work is centred around three key values:

Freedom

We help individuals experience freedom of movement through public, active and accessible transport. We want everyone to benefit from clean air and to find joy in sustainable travel.

Contribution

We believe in making a positive change, to shape places where people want to live, work and play. We want our contribution to be a lasting legacy of improved public health and climate resilience.

Community

We listen and learn from communities, tailoring our actions to best serve the people within. We want to deliver impactful projects that bring people together and improve their environment.

If your values align with ours, you could be the person our team needs.

We are keen to support your personal development, offering regular senior management check-ins, excellent career progression and the opportunity to play a role in work-winning and business strategy. The package also includes a quarterly shared team bonus.

Based in the vibrant Southbank area of London, we share an office with our parent company, Mattinson Partnership – a specialist recruiter for the built and natural environment. You can expect a busy, friendly office and an active social scene with regular staff events. Flexible working options are also available.
